Phantom II F-4C 63-7654 was used by the USAF AFSWC (Air Force Special Weapons Center)
to launch the ALARR sampler rocket from White Sands in 1966. For ALARR flights
in Mar 1967 onwards an F-4D replaced it. Up to that time all flights were from
White Sands, but according to Aviation Week (27 Feb 1967 p 40) flights
were planned from Howard AFB (Panama Canal Zone), and from Alaska. It is
unclear if any such flights were in fact made.
